Appearing with lawn mower and mask
to fullfill a weekly heroic task
In a brave fight against allergy and weeds
with my mask as my sheild from a summers sneeze

Neighbors asking, who is this masked man
with the red eyes and lawn mower in hand
The only evidence of my being is a clean lawn
mower in high gear and I'm gone

Until a shower of rain and the grass grows
out of nowhere appears a mower and masked nose
Keeping the family safe from snakes and other dangers
Hi!Ho!Silver,its the Lawn Ranger

Stevie,
You've lost it man! Was that a trusty Tonto by your side or a Toro? Sometime I'll post my poem "The Midnight Ride of My John Deere" and you can pick on me. Very funny read, my friend.

LOL this is funny. It is so good to see some new funny poets in here, as every day of laughter is a healthier day.

But I always rooted for Tonto
my brother called me a traitor. Maybe after a few "real" US History lessons he learned to appreciate what I was all about.

sodpossom,

I love poems about the daily drill;
especially ones that make me laugh.
