she had jealous eyes
that sizzled like
a sunday
tabloid

in its outrageous
and sleazy
rage

like discarded plastic bag
that appears vastly
misplaced lying
uglily

across a field
of lilacs
spread

such a glorious colour
yet sadly tragic
like funeral
pyre

painted over her
radiating fiery
face
