Written Music

His tender words still sing to me,
as distance draws him near
Soft spoken from a loving heart,
he whispers in my ear

A song of life comes from his pen,
sweet rhythm flowing pure
With tones that stir my seeking soul
my notice, he will lure

His gentle words that touch my heart,
sweet caress of senses
Flowing deeply within my soul,
breaking down defenses

Warm is his breath upon my neck,
while stirring passions fire
He reaches me with unseen hands,
and fills me with desire

Such words he sings from loving heart,
his poems are written music
Is it passion he'd have me feel
as he weaves pure magic?

I know what you are saying, Sandra. To love a man with a poetic heart would be the ultimate love to me too. **hugs** *sigh* let's keep dreaming...we never know what the future holds.

I always wanted for my guy to write me a poem. Some months back I posted a poem that I would have like for him to write to me, crazy right? I enjoyed it very much.

SmartChick...*grin* I am glad you like this one. Don't we all wish we had a poet for a lover...it seems poets understand the deepest emotions. **hugs**

Yes, let that magic weave it's spell, Frank Sinatra sang it well!

Karen,
I love when women write about the effect poetry has on them from the man they love. Makes me want to write and write and write.
I sent my wife my 'Ode to the Commode' but she didn't seem to be affected the way you were in your poem.
