I hear a tapping,a tapping on my door tis but a beggar,a beggar and nothing more. Seeking just a meal,just a meal he seeks for he is feeling weak,feeling mighty weak I provide an offering of bread,tis all I can provide His eyes filled with water,and a single tear he cried For I am just a stranger,just a stranger am I You took me in,and because of you I shall not die He walked out my door,out my door he went his back was twisted,mighty twisted and bent Slipping into the foggy night,the fog all I could see Who was this stranger,this stranger brought unto me There on my table,on my table a note It said I had found favor,and upon me he shall dote You provided an offering of bread,all you could provide It is for you my son,for your tears I died |
