As the sun rises slowly
~ into a sky that once was comfortably dark,
As the day consumes wholly
~ from the cold night which mine eyes saw stark,
As I now return daily
~ with a dull life that bleeds away all strength
As the bleak guides me solely
~ with rusted chains down tedium’s pained length.

I exist.

A well done chain dragging poem.
My mantra for you?

     May this chain of pain
       lose a link every day,
         and lighten this heavy load.

Dear Prof,
I had to read this a couple of times. I've never read anything quite that good about something quite that drab.

Thank you, Midnitesun
A nice mantra response but,

Chains of pain
forged each morning
rusting with the tears of fears of being,
carefully restrain
they keep us from the fleeing

Thank you, Pilgrimage,
Glad you liked it, I am pleased you made the effort
I understand at times my writings can be difficult,
Especially the drabber and more dismal.

Thank you, Mysteria,
Coming from one so fluent as you
High praise,

Gloom
