The blade of time has a sharp edge, It cuts off your line, piece by piece; That's why you should not try to hedge, But learn to gain joy through this tease. The sand in the glass has its force, It is pushed down slow, grain by grain; That's why you should not fight its course, But blend with the fall and shed pain. The marks on mind's shore have their smudge, They stay firm in place, inch by inch; That's why you should not try to nudge, But bear with the past and let pinch. Learn from the old, merge in the new, Have a drink from the past's ripe brew. *?* now I am intrigued even more, or maybe not? I think happy hour continues... "I was born intelligent - education ruined me" |

Sudhir, Learn from the old, merge in the new, Have a drink from the past's ripe brew. And this is all quite true. Enjoyed |

"But learn to gain joy through this tease." Sudhir--wise words, my poet friend. My favorite is above, but the whole poem has been thought out very well. |

Karilea, it seems we are all learning... and we should be doing so too... thank you for all the support that you have lent ... your kindness and appreciative words know no bounds... Seymour, my friend, I am glad that you enjoyed this attempt at writing... thank you Martie, wisdom belongs to the eyes of the reader... I merely write what comes to my thought process, sometimes good, most times haphazard, often meaningless... well, that's the learning curve, is it not?... thank you... In all sincerity, Regards to all, Sudhir [This message has been edited by Sudhir Iyer (edited 11-15-2001).] |

If this is from the haphazard thoughts flowing from your mind, then your stream of consciousness is worth swimming in daily. |
