* you know the tune! Deck the halls...

Deck the halls with Christmas poetry
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Put a present neath the Christmas tree
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Play commercials day and night
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Raise the prices! It’s a fright.
Fa la la la la, la la la la

It's happening in every town
Fa la la la la, la la la la
It’s a sentimental shakedown
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Well I’m not buying into this
Fa la la la la, la la la la
You’ll only get from me a kiss
Fa la la la la, la la la la

This spirit seems to prevail here too..but I will grit my teeth and put up a tree in BOTH houses! And wish me luck trying to find the elusive spirit of Xmas...to you too! Love you much!

Well done I think you might have killed two birds with one stone here, Marges challenge and Svens christmas carol challenge. I liked very much.

Regards,
Olias.

Olias! Oh please don't kill any birds with any stones! But I know it's just an expression.

This is a funny one, too bad it's o so true!
I read somewhere today that people were upset about not enough toys in the stores. BOO HOO HOO.
There isn't enough food in Mother Hubbard's cupboard for half the children 'round the world.

I love the holidays but I think sometimes the ads are too geared to our sentiments - forcing us to think we NEED to buy more gifts to make the holiday good. Thanks for reading!

PoetdeVine~
I enjoyed the take on this~

I'm a sentimental slob ... so I'm ripe for the picking in any season ... especially this one~
But, I've never bought anything I didn't WANT to give~  Tee-Hee~

Neat ... thanks for sharing~
