So you think you know these thoughts I have
cute little subject lines make for great gossip
and I just think you're overwhelming yourself
inventing things to keep you occupied.
Perhaps I am a little angry here,
even a little hurt by your unwillingness to reach out for real,
but I suppose its God telling me I have enough friends
because you never took the time to speak more than once or twice.
Why should I care, after all, that you have never taken the time
to do more than assume so many things about my thoughts
and who I really am.
Why should it bother me so that you can probably never be
someone I call a friend?
Every moment another human connects with another
and drives a distance afterwards is time wasted.
Another chance left unrecognized
another something great left for dead
on the highway of human rejection and insincerity.
I never asked you to open your life to me
and I never asked you to listen to mine.
Forgive me for assuming we could get along fine
no matter the circumstances.
Perhaps my hope for humankind is a little warped
from your view of the world.
I never wanted to be your candle or your light.
So why can't you come to me for clarity?
Why hide behind these zipping connections
if you need to know things about me?
Why not be considerate enough to ask me what you need to know?
And whether I could be honest with you or acknowledge what you asked,
I truly don't know,
but if you could give the consideration of making your complaints to me,
I would indeed give it my all to be as decent.

Quite the rant. I hope they see it. Losing a friend like this is no loss. I've no doubt you have lots of real friends

Thanks for reading. Yes, your correct. I have alot of real friends, but I do hate to waste human contact of any kind. *sigh* This wasn't a friend lost. Its more like a person who could have been a friend being too judgemental and cowardly for their own good..but the loss is theirs, although I'm no prize.

(sigh) Oh Jenn, I'm so sorry to feel this aching behind your words; if he can't feel for you and be frank and sincere with how you feel, you don't deserve that person's friendship. Very open and honest, Jenn. I certainly hope this is read by the one who needs to read it the most. It is sad when an opportunity to connect honestly with another gets lost in a back alley.
