The bold and flamboyant Sun moves on to the next landscape reaching back to retrieve it's pallet of apricot and peach, it's unfinished canvas in two shades of blue, one soft and kind not found easily anywhere we walk held precious, the other a dominant blue of sky cheap in it's abundance and so pilfered and drained to dark by a rising and vacuuming sliver of Moon, a rind of an ashtray which holds a perfect circle of serious black like an opposite, negative image of the round lightbulb impression on the viewing screen previewing sleep on the back of eyelids. So much sound and natural commerce departs with the greater light of day. Insects by the millions frenzy in feeding at dusk, unafraid of birds who must have a lengthy routine at bedtime allowing the opportunity to co-mingle or commit suicide on windshields before ravenous bats and nightbirds are let loose to gourge on winged fodder. Crickets and toads click and tick their own version of individuality and alone, I wonder why we mostly water, vein, lymph, tissue and grey matter stomp around as though made of Iron and Wood wrapped in such thin cover. Why is silk so strong, spider's webs so durable and how does the see through filament of airiness that is the butterfly flicker on on this spinning rock of mostly water whose own skin thins in the cancer of an eaten atmosphere? |

RSWells~ 'The bold and flamboyant Sun moves on to the next landscape reaching back to retrieve it's pallet of apricot and peach,' That is really lovely ... and almost deserves it's own palette~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

That first verse alone is imagery overload ... well done jm Well tomorrow holds only mystery |

Now that was one jam-packed visual poem! Why indeed I have to say to a few of those questions too. Beautifully crafted Sir Poet. ~* If you want a rainbow, sometimes you just have to put up with a little rain *~ |

How is it we're not flung through that cancerous hole? Gravity I know...gravity and spun steel...it's all a wonderous thing. An extremely wonderous write. Sincerely, Regina |

Indeed - Humanity is a self-serving lot, isn't it? In reality the six-legged world has endured the effects of time far more efficiently than we... Nice write, Sir Wells.. ![]() |
