Here I stand staring
Into the waves of the sea
Reminded by the violence
Of the thoughts deep within me .

I swirl deeper into the chaos
To the heart of the storm
Where a ship lays at anchor
with my heart fast aboard

My love glows strongly’
Pulsing in the night
The darkness and the fury
Not dampening the light

The storm whipping around me
Ripping at my soul
Is the uncertainty of my mind
About where my love will hold

You stir feelings of longing
With a glance of hazel eyes
My heart tugs me toward you
With you my soul flies

Of your feelings I know not
How deep and far they flow
My mind is cold and empty
But my heart still glows

The uncertainty of my thoughts
Causes you intense pain
For that I wish to die
I fear ill hurt you again.

Why you still stand me
I’ll not ever understand
It is such a blessing being in
Love with your best friend...
