 ~* Listening To Grains Of Sand *~As I sit in my own stillness, Stripped of facades that alter, Serenity somehow surrounds me. I listen to each grain of sand, Drifting in life’s hourglass, And wish time to stand still. A new awakening has enlightened me. Life has taught me well, Preparing me for this moment. For in this nakedness, A new truth, and understanding emerges, In such clarity of vision, I see I am one with the Universe. It is in this here and now that I, Understand myself; accept all that I am, And might possibly still become. For in this humble state, And only then, can I be complete. When chaos rages around me, I turn inside and search for love. Love, the saving grace of unity, The universal language that will, Hold us together and save us all. I love the whole poem. But, It is in this here and now that I, Understand myself; accept all that I am, And might possibly still become. For in this humble state, And only then, can I be complete. flows perfectly and frames the piece so well. In my "humble state" this is a great poem and the picture fits it in every way....Dan Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream. |
