My friend


I owe smiles
and lingering glances
and tantalizing whispers,

and whatever passes
in devoted caring
and unvarying trust,
in unselfish sharing
and untarnished lust
with heart-felt love
and soul-deep passion,

and feelings above
any desire to ration
them to you.
