I'll Hold You Close

by Michael

Come rest yourself and take my hand.
Speak of the pain that draws your tears,
that robs you of your lovely smile,
when happiness should fill your years.

A broken marriage, broken life,
you search for love and cannot find.
I’m here for you, place take my hand
and rest your weariness of mind.

I’ll dry your tears and hold you close,
as only a dear friend can do.
You’re part of me, did you know that?
I’m sure I’m also part of you.

So rest in arms that you know safe
and lovingly I’ll stroke your hair.
Release your tears, I know you must
and always know I truly care.

So beautiful.......so very beautiful.  A wonderful gift you give.  Hugs.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Only a very tender heart full of love for others can write something this beautiful.

Kindness comes natural to you and it shows in your poems. It's great have a friend to "hold" in this life. Great poem.
