Sad Eyes

Oh, sad eyes, why so blue
was it something I said
or did not do?

Think for a moment
could it really be that bad
to put such pain on your face
and make you so sad.

What can I do
to brighten your day
to change those sad eyes
what can I say?

Can I give you a kiss
or a smile or two
or would a big ole hug
simply do?

I'll tell you a joke
or smile from ear to ear
if only those sad eyes
would just disappear.

So, put on a smile
and before you can blink
those sad eyes will be changed
quicker than you think.

They will sparkle and glow
and twinkle so bright
sad eyes gone
and out of sight.

So, sad eyes be gone
this very day
we will have fun and be happy,
So, what do you say?

I would say that this is a very sweet write! Oh, if it were only so easy to go from sad to happy. Great job.

(smiling) sometimes all it takes is ahug or a smile... others...it takes time.

I really loved this. It reminded me of my Mother and how she used to kiss my eyes when I was sad and ask me if my sad eyes were happy yet. Thank you for reminding me of that.

A really wonderful sentiment of verse.
