I’ve fallen asleep upon this weary boat, drifting in lonely aphony, the waves my only voice. Lost in lucubration; thoughts swaying to and fro to the rhythm of the rocking, dying and fading with the setting sun. Stygian Nights become unwanted comfort, losing myself amidst the black water, the black sky, my black thoughts. Dark clouds build upon my brow, upon the horizon lightning dances as my weary boat draws near Nature’s dictum roars across the water; hell’s fury unleashing painful relief taking me quickly to rest in softer waters. You can't wake a person who is pretending to be asleep. -- Navajo Proverb |
