My Friend
Take my hand and walk with me,
Till rainbow’s end my eyes doth see.
A light ahead in the tunnels end,
Stay with me my kind, dear friend.
Don’t lead me astray or cause me grief,
A lifetime with friends is all to brief.
The troubles we know, good times we share,
Always knowing the other is there.
To comfort sorrows or put a smile on one’s face.
For it’s you, my friend, I could never replace.
No matter how long or brief it has been,
It is you, my angel, that I call my friend
Please stay with me, don’t ever leave,
Mine one true friend....this I believe.
