Moon Fathom The moon is lit in fathoms deep reflected rippled around the corner where the first star lays her arms into the blossom of froth where churning is cloistered She prisms spirals down into silver eyes and grace dances through her streets all a glow with sand tinted steep slide her cold fire reaps the quiet crackle of somnolence She is not quite whole or perfect in the sphere of compass measure for she shifts a piece into the wait of morrow but she is now and beautiful [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 09-30-2001).] |

Oh boy! Are we looking at the same moon? Martie, I wish I could see just one thing, one thing, through your eyes for one minute. Your imagery is untouchable, and this was the nicest poem about the moon I have ever read...."around the corner where the first star lays her arms into the blossom of froth where churning is cloistered"...oh my, now that was just the most beautiful wording I have read since ~ your last poem ~ ![]() ~Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self~ Cyril Connolly |
