September Nuptials Time ticked down her satin buttons and fell all around her in lace and small pearls . Her apricot mouth trembled with tremendous anticipation, so glowed her hair encased in a full sun of veil around her gladness hid the sigh that dropped so suddenly into the vestibule. The energy of love filled the small space where she waited in a dream that she wanted to entwine with finest silk and keep forever safe. Time had changed though, making her happiness guilt edged, and as the organ played her heart beat, petticoated with layers of meaning, she walked into her future. |
