The strain of the cocke crowing
Strutting his firth
For what is the source of such outbursts?
The slang and pangs of glory
You cock a doodle doo
On the roof tops

You have to get up pretty early
To start lassoing all God's
Favoritism!

You wrestle em' right to the ground.
In 8 seconds you have the world
Figured out?

It's all them this's and that's
Corrupting our pastures
Damnation for a nation
We asked for it?
Build those barbed wire fences.
Dig in deep with spurs of bigotry
Sit by your campfire and sing
Bloated with the beans of life

Seems you forgot something
When you hung your hat
And called it a good day
Love thy Neighbor!
It's the least you can do
For jumping on their
Golden calf
And riding all day
Like a Cowboy Baby!

Like sunshine, I will have to read and reread this piece.

I do hope you are excluding Texas cowboys.  You gotta be talking about drugstore cowboys, right

Hey everyone....Just a note of thanks for all your comments on this...I'll spill it..I wrote this after hearing "Falwell's" comments about the terrorist attack. This is how I pictured him that day.   Hope it didn't offend anyone...but he offended me. Thanks so much!

Sincerely,
Regina

Such power was felt through your strong words.  This was so well written, as usual.
