Shock The news Blasted us against each other As effectively as plastic explosive. Sweat, scent, the wrenched tight look As delicate handkerchiefs Squeezed pale from the grasp Of elderly women. I thought of icing Gasping from the applicator. You, a stranger, unsteady like the rest As the bus waited at the light. Static. Switched.
