A Raining Of Tear Drops Fall Off in the distance lay purpled mountains reaching for the heavens, when one gazes upon them it takes on the appearance of a mans silhouette facing towards God’s domain. I often wonder if I were as large would God hear my prayers more? for a small and simple minded soul am I. My faith in times past and even now wavers greatly but I keep upon bent knee striving to be heard for even one voice can move mountains if from a sincere heart and true seat of the soul. I stand tall in times of plenty forgetting my maker’s pledge it seems to be one of mans traits to walk with blinders when all is right, when one can seemingly stand a-foot on his own. But in this time of dismay if the eye could catch sight of all the pleadings ascending to heaven and tears drenching the earth’s crust the soul would surely grow heavy and weakened. For an out-pouring of beseeching has been thrust upon mankind, for wicked men with evil actions have plagued our total existence capsizing our realities and so in these days a raining of tear drops fall. Yet our maker is strong enough for all burden and pain, spent tears and diminishing of life for in him all was created, and in Him all shall be made right! In this time of turmoil and unrest may I remember that this is when God is with me all of the time never forsaking His promise not making my portion more than I can bear. Should I fall lax in my devotion I pray He touches my soul with gentle reminder and shows me plainly his love unending and true for I am weak. The sun now raised beyond the horizon obscuring my sight of the humble faces peering to heavens realm, I pray to God ceaselessly for wisdom, faith and for all of those in need of his comfort. Amen By, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) [This message has been edited by Cerenity (edited 09-26-2001).] |

Your thoughts are some of the same that I have been thinking. You did a good job of expressing them. |

A wonderful prayer. I too, can only say, "Amen". What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. |

Cerenity - amen I can say with others that have replied. You have written the following that I have read with sincerity, and HE will hear you, large or small. And I often wonder if I were as large would God hear my prayers more? for a small and simple minded soul am I. BC |

Cerenity this has gone into my library, and will be a favorite for a long time. There is a song done called "Dance" and in it is a line, "I hope you still feel small when you stand beside an ocean". I love the song and the message as I do in your poem, for all creatures big and small are heard. I was waving myself, and he picked me up, so he does listen. Wonderfully, inspiring poem, thank you. ~Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self~ Cyril Connolly |

Hi Everyone, Over the past few weeks we have all had alot to think about and for me it was hard to come to grips with how I felt and the only avenue was to talk with God and to remember those that need our prayers, I want to thank all of you for your loving replys to this poem, Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. |
