It's five O'clock in the morning
the first night has slipped away
and out there on the silent street
I keep searchin for your face.
the curtains on this lone window
dribble whispers through the place
as I sit here thinkin bout you
cause we said good-bye today.

Chorus:
And forever hides behind a veil of love
You get to see it if you're strong enough
We didn't find a place there made for us
where forever hides behind a veil of love.

In two more hours I leave this room
and fade into the human race
I might see you around sometime
but it'll never be the same
And I wish I could hold you now
one more time to ease the pain
but our time ran out and we both knew
it was time to make a change.

Chorus:
Cause forever hides behind a veil of love
you get to see it if you're strong enough
We didn't find a place there made for us
Where forever hides behind a veil of love.

Bridge:
I know someday I'll be thinking
bout the times we had back when
and wish we'd found out soon enough
where beginnings never end.

Rep Chorus.

I sure enjoyed these lyrics, Eric, and I created my own melody for it that seemed to underscore the mood I felt while reading.
And I'm still enjoying Jessie's Day.
Thanks for sharing these great lyrics and music.

============================

Ebabers...you make me wish I could sing...
where are me girlies to sing back up...
Sen? Dor? Martie?
bring those tambourines...
Erics singing the blues and ya know we cant stay away
Yer so cool my poet pal

~~~~~~
Well its 3 am baby...
and I'm thinking I made a mistake
You've only been gone a few hours
and it's already more than I can take
I know that we can get it right
Please dont give up on this just yet
Baby if I lose you now...
I'll drown in these tears of regret.
Pull back the veil on forever
Let the love we once knew light up this place
Let's see if we can get it right this time
C'mon baby ...wrap me in your rhyme's embrace
You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost in everything I do.
In the sunlight, in the shadows ...
No ... I'll never stop looking for you.
Oh my gosh how very sad, Eric. Shoot you are always able to bring tears to my eyes. Why does there have to be goodbyes. **hugs** This is not just a song...it touched my heart.
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
