Listening to every heart

I was honored to work on a duet with Martie during our spare time today - as always, her words grace the pages of Passions...enjoy!

Across the desert this song of wind
in plastic bag gets lodged against a fence
and Styrofoam cups lace the cactus like flowers
the beauty stung by necter of carelessness

in winsome write she penned again
of lands that danced beneath her feet
calling all greenery her very own
              bearing thoughts like prospects sweet

used to be across time to the horizon
purity would fill the sand
now to dig down to that place
takes shovels full of grace

              timeless bent by warranty
that there by God one stands for we
for what we have is blessed by far
time not yet for naked stars

cast me out with thoughts of wind
but litter my soul not again

breathe sweet now land
sweep up the broken peace
make time a blotter that absorbs
the waste of  mans release

turn glorious again the throng
with poem's mending  song

though if a word should slip my hand
             upon the paper blotting same
should you catch the poem's write
             and the very poet's name

put me then upon a shelf
for some one place should be so rare
as to catch the words of one
             though tumbled weed made threadbare

sift the clay with lullaby
so dear love makes all brand new
and takes the dust from covered helm
so wrapped the words are sky of blue

a poet's duet of words penned well
given to us each to share and tell
Two depict a vision to us compare
with stars and wise words I declare

nicely done...you both have made a masterpiece.

Martie, she's the true delight
knowing how to turn on lights
a little duet we wove, as one
our lovely Martie, with her Sun...

Thanks, Everyone!

Well look at you two
doing show and tell
weaving words of nature
we can see so well.

What better duet
than Martie and Sunshine?
They grace us with poetry
that is so devine!

Wow you two - that was "radical" lol   in other words I loved it.
