wornways, this will be a senryu because it deals with a subject matter other than nature.. only 5-7-5 syllabled-lines dealing with nature are called haiku... but this gave me a smile..as a fellow haiku wannabe, this expressed my sentiments totally... ![]() |

i'm afraid i don't know, wornways and my dictionary doesn't give me a clue either... i bump this up..hopefully others will read and give you an answer.. is haiku/senryu a new style?? you might want to try tanka, another form of japanese poetry that is based on 5-7-5-7-7 syllable lines.. ![]() |
