If Fantasy Can Become Reality I sit in autumn sun smiling as I listen to the wind rustling dry leaves, scattering them in playful dance this day My heart feels the need to weave words forming pictures and visions of love before my eyes Today I read words of love written by one of great talent to one whose heart has touched him blurring his vision My heart softens in the reading and I feel the need within a heart alone to weave just a small fantasy for me Dreaming that someday someone will feel such love for me that vision is blurred but not the true feelings of heart My gaze turns upward to heavens lit by golden sun and I convince myself that the tears falling from lashes are from sunlight shining strong So escape I must into my world of fantasy where I can believe in honest hearts where he waits strong and willing to come with open heart Weaving, weaving as the mist flows around me drying eyes that I may see the face of a man known only in dreams I weave at night to soothe my spirit My dreams kept safe lit by a candle of hope stored deep within that wind of this world will not blow extinguishing all hope of love Which land shall I fly to that I may be there when he calls out to me to join with him forever and eternity Shall it be the land of magic where elves and fairies dance and play in a place where hearts are pure and none hurts another Or mayhap on an ocean beach where the gulls will cry a warning that he who I await is coming finally to me to embrace Will I walk the forest path searching among the green towering trees for one whose heart has still the desire to sing Oh how sad that none of these fit for me this day as I have let words weave their magic flowing in to heart and spirit I must wait to see if words filled with such love and beauty will ever be written for a fantasy dreamer like me Wrapping myself in hope and visions I feel the warmth of the sun and listen to the wind to see If Fantasy Can Become Reality Karen TorbiakĀ© Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Make reality your fantasy because fantasy never becomes real....nicely written "For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul." (J.Garland) [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 11-11-2001).] |

I believe that fantasy and reality are closely interwoven and our fantasy's can make our realities even more enjoyable as we come face to face and lips to lips with the person of our dreams...fantasy can bring reality to life and reality is fantaay coming into life...fantasy is thoughts and reality is action...take some action..James |

I adore this poem, every bit of it and this part in particular "My dreams kept safe lit by a candle of hope stored deep within that wind of this world will not blow extinguishing all hope of love" Sandra |

My heart feels the need to weave words forming pictures and visions of love before my eyes I have been at this place many times, but could never put it in such lovely words*S* Dan Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream. |

If fantasies become reality I think the general populace would be better off if they were yours rather than mine. Good write Gloom |

Karen, this is probably the most beautiful poem I have seen by you, and I think all your poetry is beautiful. But this is a stunner. I sure hope your fantasy can become a reality. For that is the best and most ultimate of fantasy...when it comes true. I love this piece a great deal. Excuse me now while I go for a re-read. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

If Fantasy could become reality...MY but the thoughts that go through all our minds from time to time...Imagine how it would be if we could have every wished fantasy be real. Lady...your words are stunning. My eyes rest soothed from the touch of them. My mind wishes you that they may be a reality for you...For you are so deserving of this one joy of life. |
