Let Us Give Honor Throughout the history of our country many soldiers have taken up arms They’ve gone to foreign lands for you and me and stood and faced the threat of harm We sleep in our beds, eat our hot food, go wherever we want without fear We do whatever strikes our mood while they have little to cheer How many times have you thanked a Vet? How many times have you sent a card? If you say, “I haven’t done that yet.” Consider, “It’s not really that hard.” Each one places their life on hold and has the potential of great loss Whether a Vet is young or old they serve our country at great cost May our gratitude to the Vets be more then a “salute” on this day Let us pray for those now in war until they can come home to stay Written by, Wanda 11/11/01
