Audacity, Stand she didn’t mantle herself with audacity, often rather, she would melt like flowers into a wall’s blend of mute colors but this day seven days following the sevens come eleven she took the mantle wore it with pride among strangers she stepped forward, turned up the sound of a TV showing a quiet moment suddenly the talking crowd wasn’t followed her stare shook off their naivety of surroundings and quietly came together as One who would honor those who were no longer here to honor with them their nation their loss their tragedies their cost she didn’t mantle herself with audacity, often [a true instance that occurred 9/18/01 during the moment of National Silence] [This message has been edited by Decaflame (edited 09-24-2001).] |
