It was a beautiful day today
and the sun was shining bright
On my way to the seashore
I caught this breathtaken light

I had to drive quickly to the sea
for there wasn't left too much time
I took the dogs they love the beach
had to make pictures for my rhyme

Beyond the horizon the English live
I present to you the big North Sea
A fisherman's boat was drawn ashore
there were more at the right of me

Endless rows of big poles you see
reflecting in this evening's wet sand
They put them in to break the waves
for dangerous is the sea at this end

From where I stand I look towards Belgium
you see Knokke's citylights way back there
Walking along the beach it takes one hour
there's a reservation with birds very rare

But as you see the lights are going out
even the sea is retreating for the night
And although you can not see any forms
I think this is a very restgiving sight

Just a second's moment caught today
but I could stare at it for ever more
I'm getting such an inner peace from
this late sunset at the North Seashore

A vage orange glow is what's left over
I'm calling my dogs we're going home
They are reluctant to walk beside me
for there are so many dunes to roam

Despite of me being late at sea's sunset
I hope you've enjoyed the trip anyway

A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess...

Yesterday I stepped out of my door to a sky of magenta fire. I had to stop for a few moments to take it all in before I started walking.. These glimmers of beauty in nature.. I believe there are suddle reminders that wonderful things DO exist out there in the vast cold expanse..

Titia, This is sooo beautiful!
And reminded me so much of Denmark on the North Sea, with the sand dunes for miles.  Thank you for this...and the pictures go perfectly with your rhymes.
~hugs, Nancy~
