Composing Love

Expelled from heaven's harmony,
thrown from love's euphony
memories are killing me
on muted chords of misery
~
'Tis refrain
of sorrow's strain
lost in love
of silent pain,
my voice is flat...it breathes off-key
soprano screams are coating me
~
Beethoven of heart, takes a bow -
deaf by an aching soul's plea;
the ebony cream of it's piano
bleeds tears from every key...
it's inner beauty is hollow
in a-minor of misery
~
In the depth of hell, I dwell
blue rhythm is haunting me,
notes swirl not in morning tea
unable to wake from misery,
the music of dreams
are locked away
and lyrics of passion die,
alas, there's nothing to say
smudging the lines in cry,
and, destiny hides from day
for unfinished lullaby
~
Life is a song,
no time to rehearse
and every verse
becomes my curse
longing to immerse my entire worth
to finally feel a love that's real
and give my heart re-birth
~
Yet, I'll embrace
the grace
of second chance
of hope and wishes
of pure romance,
leaping in love
in dance, enchant
on a dove
of Cupid's grant
~
Layers unpeel,
so, I can heal
faith sings again
in tune, surreal
with hand to pen
so, I can heal
to write a love
ever real

This is astonishingly beautiful for a painful melody. The way you put words together never ceases to amaze me. This is another outstanding piece by you. I hope that ever real love comes to you soon

my goodness Melis ..this is fantastic writing...
youve penned a symphony of emotions in classic Melissa style...
this just aches and bleeds off the page girlie...you write these emotions with such intensity.
But when looking past the emotions and looking at the poem itself...I have to tell ya ..you worked this theme and metaphor to poetic perfection. All the anologies and references of music, composers, the piano, etc...
the whole theme is carried out wonderfully and one can see the work you put into this.
very very well done Melissa...
you and your clever muse should take a bow for this.

You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost in everything I do.
In the sunlight, in the shadows ...
No ... I'll never stop looking for you.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Melissa, this is so sad but so beautiful too! (sad sigh) My heart goes out to yours, but I know deep down true love will come and touch your heart very soon, then the angels will be singing a duet with your heart eternally, then you will be composing the most beautiful love like you already do! (smiles) We all love you, sweet friend, you are sooooooooo romantic! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Melissa, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

This is so softly aching, and the end so hopeful. I love it.

A painful melody that played beautifully and pulled at my heartstrings as it pulled me deeper into its embrace. Stunning.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

The way your words remain true to the theme of the poem in every way is exhilarating, Melissa. You have written a superb poem here, my girl!

Melissa,
This work is so full of beauty and longing, it takes my breath away.  You are an incredible writer, and your words can capture all of my feelings.  You need to publish a book of all your art. I just know it would be best seller.... You have a magic touch with passion and feelings, and I am always taken away with your writing...
              Love, Elise
