Walk in my Shoes Before you speak in such a way and heap your insults in my face Trying walking in my shoes a day and season your words with grace Each of us has our own cross to bear as we walk through this life Each has enough trouble and despair Why impose your words of strife Think before you speak to me Have a twinkle in your eye Words have the power to set us free or words can make us hurt and cry Walk in my shoes for just a while Understand the “why” of what I do Perhaps you will greet me with a smile and on this day we can begin anew Written by, Wanda 11/09/01 |

(big hugggssssssss) OH WANDA, I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU HERE AGAIN!!! (smiles) I always love reading your words; you always teach me to look deeper into myself and your love always shines! (smiles) I feel this is one lesson many people don't understand today because people just criticize someone for what they feel at first sight, rather than taking the time to understand the person. (sigh) Jesus always tells us to treat others the way they deserve to be treated, and I pray we all can learn how to love like this, for that is the Golden Rule! (big huggssssss) Oh Wanda, I'm so happy to see you here again, I love you! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Wanda, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Hello again, Wanda. Understanding and empathy, those are the things we all need more of each day. I don't think it's ever possible to walk in your shoes, but I will always walk alongside of you if your pathway leads in a parallel direction. And should those paths diverge, I will still be thankful for friends like you who steadfastly follow their chosen path. |

Yes, oh yes, when a person is in this situation, they need to be carried. Well said. Kathleen |

Midnitesun; I have missed our chats. Whenever I see your name, I remember the chats over the lemon cake. Very wise words you shared. It is not possible to wear someone's shoes, but we can be an encouragement, can't we? Thank you for your response to this poem. Wanda |

Kay; My goodness, you are a lady of many names. I have enjoyed reading some of your poetry. I like your comment about the need of being carried at times. This is so true. Thank you for your response. Wanda |

Startime (Karen) Yes, our words do have power for good or evil. We can lift up and encourage, or we can tear down and destroy with the words that come from our mouth. If only we would just take the time to think through what we say; all would be the richer for it. I have missed you; thank you for your response. Wanda |
