Listening to every heart

Poet’s Choice

a poet for your taking
through leaves I’ve gone a’raking
upon my early awaking
this poet, for your taking

a skip through leaves I wandered
looking for souls, I floundered
as in your past I sauntered
skipping leaves, having wondered

weighing now those yesterdays
holding that which was saved
won’t join me in my lowly grave
weighty now, those yesterdays

this poet, for your taking
skipping leaves, having wondered
weighty now, those yesterdays
this poet, of God’s making

Sunshine,
I liked your poem very much, but feel some of the lines too repetious.  Re-read and see if these lines stand out.  Still a good read.
Take care,
Red

Wow Sunshine, you know this one loves me!  I hope something came to you while raking, as the poet for the taking? (hugs)

(smiles) Sooooooo beautifully expressed, sweet friend! I too feel that a poet always rakes leaves of memories and dreams, puts them together, then always conjures such magic spells of words! (smiles) I love it, sweet friend! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sunshine, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

There is poetry in those fallen leaves isn't there. Renewal, hope, the atmosphere of leaving..into the winter. And you in the midst. Hugs!
