Angel By: Noah Eaton 11/9/01 I sweep you off your feet You pick me up Queen of hearts My one true love You hold me close I look deep into your face I am sorry That I couldn’t leave without a trace… It’s gloomy here, I can’t stop crying I need to hear your lips speak… When you’re not here, I collapse to my knees Wrap your arms around me, have faith in me… Am I just a strange sad soul Without a halo hanging above me? I need you close to my heart My sweet angel… I’m in my bell tower Signaling to you But I am just a recluse In life’s church to you Sequined in tears My heart can’t express Whimpering softly In my silent unrest What’s that you say in my dreams? Was it an omen, or just my instincts? When you’re not here, I have nothing to share Yearning for heaven to be my eternal wear Am I just a strange sad soul Without a halo hanging above me? I need you close to my heart My sweet angel… My angel… |
