The rumble below caused me pause
gazing down in awesome wonder
Halfway up the mountain, Lord
still I hear the rolling thunder

Cataclysmic calamity
crashing all around
Halfway up the mountain
stopped in track of sound

Clashing flash brings fear cascading
yet above me angels soar
Taking souls to the top of the mountain
where they will live forevermore

Halfway up the mountain, Lord
stuck in-between anger and grief
Halfway up the mountain
searching for solace and relief

Eternal life beyond
the earthly shell of me
I want to walk the golden streets
of God's promises yet to be

Have Gabriel sound the trumpet !
Let us gather 'round
Halfway up the mountain, Lord
I am Heaven bound~

What a gorgeous poem, and picture to match.
Halfway up the mountain may be a safer spot with a better view than in the valley below.

I agree with Kacy...the view would be spectacular half way up the mountain!
Enjoyed this Marge, as I do everything you pen.

You have just written half a gospel piece

Put it to music and you've got it made!

Wonderful!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
