I still see old glory waving to a country standing proud I hear her voices united singing THEIR praises loud. I feel her sense of freedom in a homeland of the brave I taste sweet honor and pride with dignity, THEY so willing to save. I touch her sacred grounds and her amber waves of grain I pray for their strength and courage and for THOSE who have died in vain. I wish for there to be peace not just for her, but for all and may old glory ever wave she WILL NOT falter...she WILL NOT fall. dmsmith (c) 2001 On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free. ~Me~ (I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance~Garth) [This message has been edited by Gentle Spirit (edited 11-08-2001).] |
