I have no wild horse,
There’s no gallant steed in sight,
Just the Greyhound bus.
~ * ~
You will win of course,
Being more the polished knight,
Noble too I trust.
~ * ~
I’ll watch them flocking
Swooning to your side with sighs,
I’ll just walk away.
~ * ~
Sweet nothing talking,
Impressed with great muscle size,
‘Tis not how I play.
~ * ~
I have no tall horse,
Just a walker in the night,
You will win of course.

Thank you, Sea
For your response.

Thank you, Lady of Shallot,
But I have always believed that the Professor was
way too sly
And plotted to keep them on that island,
After all he was there with MaryAnn and Ginger,
What competition did he have
A married man, a fat sailor, and a bumbling flunky.

Thank you, Enchantress,
I wouldn’t mind the walk,
But don’t expect a testosterone exhibit
I’m not a Gallant knight, just mild mannered.

well, at the risk of "flirting"   which I would never do   I thought the Professor
was the sexiest thing on the island...it's the only reason I watched the show!!!!

Come on back, Gloom
it's all in fun
personally I'm blaming it
on the sun
For seventy degrees
in the middle of November
is a playground day
for all us together
And never mind the testosterone
who needs the boasting stuff
just grab your pen, jump right in
you'll be laughing soon enough

Mild mannered is indeed as good as a gallant night any day of the week.  Nice write Gloom.

Thank you, Lady of Shallot,
That’s true, he was picked for his looks
To play a brainy guy, but if he was so smart
Why didn’t he get them off the island…
Wait maybe he was so smart so he didn’t get them off the Island.
And don’t worry about flirting,
I’m immune, too many bad shots in the past.

Thank you, Duncan
For the very nice poetic response,
Perhaps you misunderstood, I’m not leaving,
I’m just not in competition for the females
As some are (Interloper).

Thank you, Gentle Spirit,
It’s D~lightful you can enjoy someone mild mannered,
Glad you enjoyed this poem of mine.

Thank you, Smart Chick,
Always a pleasure to please.

Here, Professor, put yore foot in the stirrup and swing up.  I'll give you a ride anytime.

Spend a day in the saddle with this cowboy and you will soon see I am in competition with nobody for anything. (Wuz thet gud grammer?)

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Nice write Prof.  had me worried there for
a minute or two...thought you were fixing
to leave the island...us stranded here.
Sorry I have not been reading more of your
poetry...will try harder.
