In the silence
of an autumn night
a crescent moon appeared
through the cold dark sky
casting a multitude
of shadows
toward earthly grounds
while he glanced
at her
laying in sleep
beside him
so innocent
so pure...
Her essence
enticing
a temptation
he cannot ignore
adoringly
he collapsed
into a deeper stare
without a blink
of an eyelash
memorizing
every detail
of her form
recalling
the sensation
of her quivering sighs
and the words
he longed to hear
from only her
until that moment
when her lips
did part
and spoke
the sacred words
i love you...
Slowly the morning sun
began to rise
as he took
a deep breath
and reflected upon
that moment ago
while the sun
brilliantly shine's
through the weave
of lilac lace
casting her silouhette
in hues of gold
unto the silk sheets
of surrendering pose
she is awakened
to the truth
of his touch
and his love
for her
once more...
