It’s felt like years since I could say
I’ve done my very best today
I got lost tryin’ to get away
And now I don’t know where to go

From love and life I feel apart
How heavy weighs my father’s heart
I want to dad, I want to start
But now I don’t know where to go

And every day the sun sets quicker
Left me in darkness one day sicker
The pile of work now one day thicker
And still I don’t know where to go

My friends, they reach out just to hold me
I heard the things you three times told me
I need your ears, not you to scold me
I wish I knew which way to go

So here I turn to words again
And re-read places I have been
The memories of where and when
I still don’t know, but here I go

This is deep, I liked this.  *s*

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

buddy, I know the feeling. We all feel lost sometimes, maybe that's why I come here from time to time to read...it lets me know I'm not alone.

I don't know...I went through a place not too long ago in my past when I didn't know where I was and where I was going...I felt out of place...like I didn't belong...it was a terrible feeling...don't know how I got out of there but time does change situations and circumstance...James

Kevin....
I been lost so long its starting to feel like home....
and all I could think while I read this was
"you been here too few years to feel this old"(mb20) ... but your honest aching emotive words wrapped in rhyme touch me...
proof of a well written poem.
we have to look inside our selves for the answers and then hope we can accept the reasons.
Take care of you poet sir.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Kevin, I can relate to this feeling ever so clearly, for I too am close to starting my college life, and I am not sure and anxious of where to go! (sigh) But I know deep down, a slong as you follow your loving heart and listen to your rhythm, you will find all the happiness you could ever dream of! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kevin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
