Deep into the corners of my mind I hide from constant input, short-circuited from synaptic overload. Unable to filter out all the background noises that shatter the glass walls I've been hiding behind. Prisms of light scattered, prisoner of fright, battered by human hatred and pain, tortured minds and bodies, all in the name of God. Is it any wonder that I sit and wonder if there is a God? And if there is, do I want to know Him? And then I look over at my teenager sitting there reading about the life of Marilyn Manson, while Skippy dog snoozes peacefully on the bed, not a worry in his head 'cept where he hid that big bone yesterday. And when tomorrow comes, today will be history. Another one to cram into memory banks that are already overflowing from synaptic overload. And I feel as if I am about to explode, and sink into a black hole in outer space. |

Kacy, I'd say you're teetering in the weight of ageless question...thought inviting work! Willie B [This message has been edited by WRBreezin (edited 11-07-2001).] |

LOL, teetering is a good word. Yep. I am on a teeter totter some days. And here it is in the wee hours, especially for you probably, and we are still pondering what life is all about. No answers, just lots of questions. When I think I have the answers, someone changes the questions. But don't mind me, I've often been called "The Loon." |

![]() (tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Kacy, this is such a depressing and heartwrenching read! (sigh) I too have had these thoughts every now and then, where have I really known God, and is it safe to push to know His love. (sigh) I never worry about memories too much anymore, but I always follow my heart now and confront His love and condone to spread my love to the world always to find answers. (sigh) So sad but wonderful read, sweet friend, may you have a beautiful day! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kathleen, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

you write with a wonderful style.... this one with free verse intermingled with rhyme i really love this!! i certainly could identify with it, that's for sure! a descriptive, emotive, dynamic write! nice work! ![]() i was thinking, maybe it would be a good idea to take a long walk out by the lake and enjoy the fall colors today.... the autumn weather is beautiful!! it might be good to take a little break from the overload, y'know? care to join me? ![]() |

Noah, please don't cry. Sometimes I just have to write myself out of the corner. In the past, I wrote my pain and frustration, even my love, and then threw everything away. Sometimes it helps to share with extra shoulders. Sunshine, Thank you. Even your name brightens my mood. doreen, how nice! Yes, a stroll along a lake sounds very inviting. It's -10F here today, and it's a little harder to stroll comfortably. The world could use a reality break, but at least we have Pips for fun fantasies...which are actually so refreshing, I find myself LOL every day at some of these posts. |

I know what you mean!!! Our choices don't always seem our own...and yet we have to live with them...I think you're doing fantastically just by being open minded! Big Hugs! Sincerely, Regina It's all in the mind |

Oh, wht thoughts you have put out here on which I must ponder. Tell you what, I come on up from Texas, bring my saddles, and we can throw 'em on a couple of Alaskan mosquitoes, take a ride, and see if we can discover the truth of it all while finding a solution to the problems of the world ![]() Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

Regina, thanks for reading. Open minded, yes, and I don't believe in too much censorship Some people are shockes I let my 14 yr old read and listen to Manson. Wouldn't do much good to try to stop her anyway, she'd find a way to do it on the sly. 'Loper, LOL, Bring up those saddles. Skeeters are gone 'till May, but how good are you at ropin a moose? Actually, we do have horses nearby. My daughter rides a big thorougbred named Jake. Lady of Shallot, thanks for reading and listening to my whining. Peaches, the shoulders here are great. You made a good move coming to Pips. |
