The Cat is laying flat stretched out
And cocks a lazy eye
A fluffy ball of fat and purrrrs’
He lets the world go by

The fireside warmth is all he needs
To while his life away
A contented house and maybe a mouse
To stumble past his way

And then the Cat’s electric charged
A torpedo made of fur
With ears laid back the swift attack
His claws a sweeping blur

But the slim fit mouse new to this house
Runs an aerobics class
Beneath the stairs he swings on chairs
And drinks minerals by the glass

And so he moves with speed and grace
To safety and thanks the Lord
And the poor fat cat has squashed his face
Against the skirting board

Now ‘Tiddles’ knows the rules are new
He could feel his ego sag
So now the cat lies on the mat
And eyes a fitness mag

HAHAHA, this is outrageously funny. I've known a couple of cats like that, but they never had that kind of a challenge. Good post, made me laugh. I'll have to save it and share it with my sister the masochist (sorry sis) who has 35+ cats.
