Passions felt, stored for another day.
A warrior rides away from his maid.
Bidding a tearful farewell to a dear.
Heavy sigh, heavy heart, battle weary.

Tho I ride away, I am still here.
My soul remains though my body departs.
A memory shared by two taken to war.
My love for you grows each night.

I have faced countless faces of grim determination.
I have slain the most unmerciful foes.
My treks have taken through desolate places.
My heart stays behind as I ride.

You, my maid who are there at the castle moat.
Faithful to my needs, warm to my touch.
You embrace me with the energy of suns.
You touch me as though no other lived.
You leave me determined to ride, to return.

I pursue this quest for your honor, your faith.
My sharpened steel slices determinably so.
My shield, energized with your love protects me.
My burden, though heavy does not tire me.
I shall return to your embrace.

I dream of you as I ride, my steed lulling me to thoughts.
Each dream, a smile, a gentle touch, passion fires light.
My ears hear silent moans of pleasure.
My lips taste fantasies of a woman’s fruit.
My sight, though blinded by lids, clearly does see you.
I ride on into a moonless night.

Be you there when I return, I surely do know.
Unfaltering love you give to me, I cherish.
A yearning overcomes me, my desire grows.
Rest well my dear, for we shall ride upon my call.

Wow, I was almost out in the woods of old  England with this one.

'You embrace me with the energy of suns.
You touch me as though no other lived.
You leave me determined to ride, to return'

And the Knight doth return each night, for his fair maid is truly waiting in anticipation.

Lovely!

I watch his back--
upon his steed
chiffon from hat
in captured breeze...
in a magic hand of wind,
I capture now the very end
and wipe the tears be left by him
in chills of rivers on my face....

Inspired me Magnus? Grin....have in mind an interesting scenario...I need a few writers tho, perhaps you are interested?

Oh, I love stories of Knights and Maidens, fairytales and happy ever after. This is enchanting Magnus. I like. I like very much.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

This is one of those pieces that
gives the reader a really good feeling....

Look into the eyes of a man and
you will find the soul of the woman
who loves him...

Midnitesun....smell the fires burning, cooking a stew.
The ovens cooking loaves of fresh bread.
hear the cobbler hammering a shoe.
See a maiden carrying a pale...

Happy that you liked this....Yes,  I was
there,  there in the woods too.

Karen:

Sitting astride my mount, my maid at my back
Striding effortlessly through the glade.
Keeping a lunch tethered in a leather sack.
Yearning for just one moment with a maid.

I am pleased that you enjoyed this...I
enjoy writing of these days...when men were
and women were not...
