Houston has two seasons one is hot the other hotter. Only thing that gets cold here is Galveston’s sea water. I’m reading all these poems about the beautiful change of leaves. And the way they flit and flutter in the cooling autumn breeze. Well you can all just go to hell as far as I’m concerned. While I sit in this rush hour traffic and get a damn sunburn. We run around in shorts year round praying for a cold front. I’m sorry if you don’t sympathize or think I’m being blunt. But just once I’d like to see a flake of newly fallen snow. Or maybe just a drop in temp to feel a cool wind blow. But I guess its just the price you pay for living in the south. So I will sit and dream of fall and kindly shut my mouth. With perseverance even the snail reached the Ark. |

I remember this one, Lucie! Where I live, we've had some cold weather and a bit of snow, but it melted right away. It sure got chilly though, at least it did that way. Today the high was 71! It broke a 20some year record. Well, that's MN for you! God bless America, my home sweet home. |

Well damn ya Lucie, you just come Up to canada and escape the sun You’ll see numbers on thermometer Make ya shiver and go brrrrrrrrr Cause it’s sure getting cold up here And how I’d love that warming breeze That you have there in Texas heat I’ll trade ya, that would sure be neat It's starting to get damn cold here. And where I live, they passed a damn by-law, says you have to go outside for a smoke when you're having a brew at the pub. So, I'll trade ya any day Lucie. You just let me know when!!!! lol If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

*giggling* this was cute and fun to read. I do feel for you. I love to watch the changing of the seasons and find falling snow magical even though it causes horrible messes on the roads. There is nothing like looking out the window and seeing an unbroken field of snow. I will think of you the next time it snows and write a poem to you about it so you can feel the magic of it. **hugs** Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

I appreciated this the first time around, Lucie... but now I'm IN Hell/Houston and the traffic and smog make the incessant heat and humidity 100% worse... I commiserate. *S* Great job! |

Ah, Houston. Where one does not breathe the air, one drinks the air smog and all. Average humidity in Houston is between, oh, say 95-99%. If they did get a 1" snow, when it melted Houston would be under 3/4 of an inch of flood water |
