that final cut

My eyes closed shut in the night
Taking dark shadows to sleep,
My mind stopped being at fight
Walking with thoughts, in too deep.

Sweet dreams begin to awake,
Blooming like the morning rose
My inner mind holds the sea~
Ocean of charming repose.

Soft winds blow in smooth engage
Stroking emerald green waves;
All parts of this world wide stage
Smile in glad welcoming sways.

Ah! Dream world is beautiful
Lovely as the setting sun,
And we are just blameless fools,
Dwelling with the dreamless ones.

Everything's a miracle,
In the warm wombs of these dreams;
It's such a safe shielding shell,
That keeps out life's deadly screams.

And here on this lonely night
When my body begins to sleep,
The dream world opens its eyes
And I jump with happy leaps.

(Yet, I can still feel the hurt
The sharpness of that final cut)

What peaceful poetry.  A perfectly inviting  dreamworld,  tinted with just a small dose of reality. Thank you.

Yes life has lots of reality to bring us back to perspective...sometimes our dreams and the reality of life find common ground...James

This makes me want to sleep and escape... too bad those nightmares are such a bother. *S* I like this a lot, Sudhir... well written!

If not for the wounds hurting my friend, how would we ever be reassured that we are human and have a heart?  Wonderful work from you and I am more than elated to come in and see your name here with us again.  Your creativity and talent has always been one of my favorites and this one reminds me why.  Superb!!!!

Thank you all, very much, my friends.
Time at hand is short so I am unable to be more lucid in coming up with a better response for the kindness that you have showered.

Regards to all of you,
Sudhir

Sudhir, this was most inviting, and the end a little touch of unpleasant reality. I think I shall go back to my dreams.

Sudhir--some fear their dreams and welcome day, others find sweet relief in dreams display...I think you see the beauty in both, tinged by the hurt that life can sometimes bring.  Peaceful wake to you, I wish.  A poem from the heart..well done!
