We walked hand in hand in lush lovers lane, The moon had set with the night then so late, Our stroll then over with the rising pain, In walking we arrived at sorrows gate. It had once been painted white, With flowers beside, Pleasant place and pleasant sight, Which now the weeds hide. That which once was joyful gate Has been neglected, Sorrowfully it meets its fate Now unprotected, Old worn brown of weathered wood, Clasp rusty and bent, Hinge barely holds as it should, The gate almost spent; You walk through without a glance, Neither left nor right, Staying back missing the chance, As she fades from sight. The lovely walkway grass turned dry and brown, The sun rose and climbed then fell in darkness, Passing days gave no more of her soft sound, No cheer so dear to end my long sadness. Gloom |

All that was missing from this scene was the fog of the thoughts that lay behind the write... enjoyed... |

My thoughts are usually in a dark fog, more so these days, I must admit that this is a post from a while ago, since I am not feeling so poetic today. Glad you like this blast from my foggy past. Gloom |
