This is not about me. It's for someone else who recently lost their soulmate.

No news is good news.
Or so I was told when I was 5 years old.
But the ones who told me that lied.
No news really meant that you had died.
For you always brought me the news of the day.
Now all I can do is look away and try to forget
     there is no news today.

Very well said....Yes   I agree....No new is
too often exactly what we dread.  Like the
phone that never rings or the letter that
never comes.

*sigh* such a loss as this is the worst kind of news. My heart goes out to any who have to endure such sorrow.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Kacy, this is so so sad; my heart cries out to your dear friend and I pray that your friend will love again soon! (big hugggssssss) My heart is with you, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kathleen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Magnus and Startime, thanks for reading. This kind of poem is hard for me to post, when what we all really need most is lots of smiling and hugging and kind words. But it is part of reality, and it's just something I felt needed to leave my keyboard today. Thanks for letting me share this.

Tiers, Mistletoes, thanks. There are thousands out there today who have lost a soulmate, a friend, a family member. This is for all of them.

Trillium, Denise, Larry...thanks for being here. It is sad, and there isn't anything anyone can do or say but to hold on and be there for the broken hearts left behind.

Perfect, I have often thought of the agony of the people waiting to hear if their loved one would be saved at the WTC. That was the biggest example of the no news is bad news syndrome. You can take this poem and also apply it to a lost romance..not through death, but through his abdication..waiting for the emails that never come, the phone calls that never come. Geez I think I am relating too much here.

Sad, simple, and subtle...  The sentiment is touching and I enjoyed the partially hidden rhyme.  Well done, Kacy.

For all of you who read, thanks. The subject matter demanded brevity and subtleness, and was meant to include all those who have suffered moments like this. I hope that  time will help us all heal.

Vickie and Walt... thank you. There are too many people who are going through this, nearly 2 months after 911.
