Land of Never-ending Summers

0 posted 2001-11-03 08:58 AM

Skys are gray
Leaves are falling
A thousand feelings fleet pass
My heart is breaking
Just like the shattering of glass

For the loneliness I feel deep
Without someone to love me
With no friends to stand by me
Without the courage to face the future
and the strength to stand alone

A mess of feelings
Bursting forth
Without any gentle persuasion
But the right kind of motivation
Coz I am going back to another world
One I would rather end sooner

Raindrops are falling
Just like I am crying
Wiping away the tears gently
Like a lover's touch
Looking forward to the life ahead
Optimism
That is the word I should learn

Oh my gosh I am glad this poem ended on a positive note because my heart was breaking for you. Sadness is a feeling I am very familiar with and you write about it very well. **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

When I feel that my world's load is heavy,
I try to remember those who have so much
less than I.  And it certainly helps to
have a friend in your heart.  You do,  so
many of them right here before your eyes.
A beautiful poem.  Thank you.  May each
day bring peace upon your heart and mind.

Startime: Hehe. One reason why I ended the poem on a positive note, coz I used to always believe in happy endings, and I don't quite know how to end a sad piece.

Magnus: Yes, I agree. Through the years, I realised that though loved ones can't always be there all the time, as long as you have them in your heart, things won't seem so bleak. But I guess, there are juz times when that's not enough...

Thanks!! Thanks for the comments on this one as well.
