The work I do doesn’t lend
to skirts and stockings.
Crawling under desks
searching for wires, hauling
carts of equipment, here
and there is better suited
to jeans, and tennis shoes.
I am just fine with this,
comfortable is not to be
scoffed at, it makes
getting dressed quick and easy.
But then I chance into you…
something about the look
in your eyes, the shape of your
lips as you voice hello,
the sound of your voice
echoes me into forgetfulness...
where was was going, what I was doing?
All I can think of
is that instead of comfy
bloomers, I wish I had put on
sexy underwear instead.

Remember when your mama was warning you to always wear clean underwear? She didn't say nuthin' 'bout sexy, did she? LOL Of course, she was warning about accidents and hospitals and we do NOT want to go there. *G*

I enjoyed this very much, gal... even if I was giggling at instead of sympathizing with your discomfiture. LOL.

Oh, this is cute. And yes, mom always said that thing about the clean underwear. I was grounded for a week when I smartly replied once that I wasn't wearing any.

Well...all I can say is it really doesn't matter what you have on when you fall... it is the mind that is the sexiest thing of all.

very nicely done...and captures a moment and a feeling so very well.
