You are the sun
that warms
on top porch step
the blanket
wrapped
in solitude
yours
the voice
I only imagine
as we talk
the body
I hold tightly
as we dream
sleep with me
here in this
world of make believe
happily
ever after

Oh, to wake up in such a warm, wonderful, romantic fairytale! Very nice, Duncan.

*sigh* What a beautiful poem this is to wake up to with morning coffee. You southern boys sure know how to turn a girls head don't you? You always stun me with your words, your thoughts and your imagery. Tis a beautiful wold indeed, isn’t it?
She sleeps in this fairytale so sweet
When she dreams with you in her sleep
And when she wakens to your words
She sings with joy, you must have heard

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

what a beautiful way to start my day....
You DO have a way with the ladies dear sir.

Look into the eyes of a man and
you will find the soul of the woman
who loves him...

*sigh* I love fairytales even if they don't come true. This is a delightful way to start my day. I love it.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

nothing at all wrong with a fairytale...especially one with this feeling.
