Sparrow Without Wings By: Noah Eaton 11/1/01 I’m a sparrow without wings Falling from the hands of God Laying frozen in the pale barley fields Frosted in ashes of my youth I’m a sparrow without a love Convinced I am slowly dying My future seems so opaque You say my heart is breaking, but I can’t feel nothing Because it already is Because it already is I’m a sparrow without a voice I have no friends around to comfort me The full moon seems so eerie The stars are frozen all over me I’m a sparrow crying constantly All I’ve ever wanted was to fly I have no white crown, I am but a vassal to imagination You say my heart is breaking, but I keep on crying Because it already is Because it already is My trumpet of the throat is scratchy Embers of tears are falling around me I’m laying scared in a puddle of sorrow Then the cat comes, tries to swallow me You say my heart is breaking, but I keep on crying Because it already is… Because it already is… I feel so loveless… |

Please don't feel too lonely.. I am a sparrow too.. and birds of a feather flock together.. and remember God must love Sparrows a whole lot he made so many of them. I think maybe they might be his favorite bird..better than a proud peacock don't you think? God bless you. |
