So how does one define ones'self, what measure of a man determines worth when here on Earth so little goes to plan ? In contrast to a work-place stark, resounds the call of meadowlark to once again ignite that spark imagination seeks to fan . Replaced are bills with rolling hills in ev'ry subtle shade of green . As tasks performed a thunderstorm comingles with a mountain stream . A pace is set, a quota met, as sunlight filters through the clouds this drone who serves works' metronome finds solace in what he's allowed . The measure of a man I'd say by work alone one cannot quoth, and as for worth, I plan to stay, a doer and a dreamer both . |

What a brilliant poem, and so true. I'm with you Doc, a doer and a dreamer. There's room to be both in this life If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

Wayout , Thanks much . Enjoyed your write in the workshop . Doc Tracey , Thank you . Balance in all things , not easy to achieve, yet, perhaps imbalance is a necessary part of the creative process ? |

To be a doer and a dreamer...a thought to hold onto each day. Well done, Doc. |

Hear! Hear! As those rock n' rollers Areosmith sang "Dream On"... just don't let them catch you daydreaming at work. Peace, Doc. |
