Love On Silver Rails ( a train ride)

A lover’s pursuit, riding on steel rails.
Two together, sitting, laughing, sharing pleasurable times.
Wondering what thoughts the other has.
Twirling a spoon nervously.

Gliding through the tunnels built majestic by hardened hands.
A forested slope whispering softly as each mile flows by.
Coffee, laced with cream, croissants and cream cheese.
Feet touching, retreating, returning again.
Electrifying energy shared by two as stars flow overhead.

Soft music, reminding of lovely thoughts and times
flowing through a dining car occupied by so few.
Stewards, impeccably dressed, admiring love.
Keeping a fresh cup near, unobserved.

Eyes fixed, four stars shimmering as they see
loves bonding, developing, becoming pure gold.
Bodies swaying gently as each minute ends.
Seashore beckoning, calling, awaiting them.

Soft whispers of intimate thoughts and pleasures
accelerating two hearts to the pace of the ride.
Waiting anxiously for a journey to end.
Wanting to be touching the other.
Permitting love’s forces to flow.

A lover’s train has ended a journey of
shared intimacy, passionately by two.
Napkins, now shaped as hearts entwined
left behind as two shadows depart, becoming one.
